THE SECOND BIONIC PROSTHESIS WAS INSTALLED IN THE NATIONAL REHABILITATION CENTER UNBROKEN

One more bionic prosthesis was received by a Ukrainian doctor of Greek origin – Dmytro. He was living abroad for a while, but then came to Ukraine to work. He is an orthopedic traumatologist, who has saved the lives of patients in one of the hospitals of the Kyiv region. In the first hours of the full-scale war, he already helped the first wounded.

When the Kyiv region was liberated, Dmytro decided: he would save the Ukrainian military in hot spots, so he went to east Ukraine. Together with his comrades, he managed to save almost two hundred Ukrainian soldiers. However, in June, while performing one of the tasks, the man’s right hand was torn off.

He has had five operations in three cities to save the muscles of the forearm and the length of the limb. Now Dmytro is in Lviv, receiving a modern prosthesis at the National Rehabilitation Center UNBROKEN

This is a bionic limb of the Ukrainian manufacturer Esper Bionics, which was installed with the financial support of the IT company Symphony Solutions. This prosthesis, by the way, was on the cover of the American magazine Time. It is on the list of top innovations of the year.

Currently, Dmytro is undergoing rehabilitation and learning to live with a “new hand”. As soon as he is ready, he will return to the front to save the lives of our defenders. The man is convinced: the bionic hand will help him return to medical practice and save more lives.
