UKRAINIAN-POLISH COOPERATION

A First Lviv Territorial Medical Union delegation visited their Polish partners at the Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski Voivodeship Hospital in Lomza. During the visit, our medical professionals signed an agreement under the Interreg NEXT Poland-Ukraine project, which provides funding for the procurement of medical equipment.

This includes an echocardiograph, two extracorporeal circulation devices, ten cardiac monitors, two anesthesia-respiratory machines and a defibrillator.

This equipment will enhance the quality of cardiovascular diagnostics and treatment, enabling doctors to perform more surgeries and assist patients requiring highly precise medical interventions.

Additionally, the project includes exchanging experience with Polish specialists and establishing a hybrid operating room at the Lomza Hospital, allowing their medical team to perform more complex procedures.

"Thanks to this project our hospitals will receive essential high-quality equipment. This will significantly ease the workload of our doctors and improve patient care. We will be able to perform more cardiac surgeries," said Oleh Samchuk, General Director of the First Lviv Territorial Medical Union.

We sincerely thank our partners in Lomza for their collaboration and support in this project. For us, it is yet another step toward improving medical services and advancing our medical union.
