L’ORÉAL UKRAINE AND UNBROKEN HELP WOMEN GET RID OF WAR MARKS ON THEIR FACE AND BODY
L’Oréal Ukraine and the UNBROKEN National Rehabilitation Center launched the nationwide social project (Not) Up For Beauty. Its goal is to help women get rid of the scars of war on their faces and bodies and heal mental wounds.
Every day, Ukrainians die and suffer from russian aggression. As long as the war continues, the number of scars and scars left behind by enemy blows on the bodies of our citizens only increases.
Among the victims of the war, many women see reminders of what they experienced in the mirror every day. They seek to erase this memory from their bodies and faces. Despite this, the phrase “the main thing is that you are alive” is often heard – while they intensely desire to return to their usual beauty and mental balance. The social project “(Not) Up For Beauty” will help them.
L’Oréal Ukraine, in partnership with UNBROKEN Center specialists, will help women affected by the war to normalize their physical and psychological condition.
Each participant of the “(Not) Up For Beauty” project will receive consultation from qualified specialists in plastic surgery, aesthetic medicine, mental health, and, if necessary, other doctors. Depending on the consequences of the physical injury, an individual treatment tactic will be chosen: surgical interventions, grinding of scars, and cosmetology procedures.
Mental health specialists will also work with each participant: patients will have the opportunity to attend sessions of body-oriented and conversational psychotherapy, where they will be helped to accept themselves and their bodies again. All these services will be provided to women free of charge.
To become a participant in the social project, you need to fill out an application using the link.
“Women are incredible and super strong; they envelop this world with love and tenderness. At L’Oréal, our core mission is to create beauty that moves the world and empowers women daily. After all, beauty is a powerful force that moves us. “(Not) Up For Beauty!” – that’s what every woman thinks when she sees her reflection in the mirror after a horrific event. War leaves scars not only on the body but also on the heart. And the desire to scar these wounds is quite natural. This social program is one of the tools with which women have the opportunity to take a course to restore their physical and emotional state,” says Kateryna Zakharash, director of corporate communications at L’Oreal Ukraine
“Since the beginning of the full-scale war, the UNBROKEN Center has become a place where the most difficult patients from all over Ukraine are sent. These are military and civilians, adults and children. We set ourselves the goal of becoming the place where every Ukrainian who suffered from the war will receive the best help in his country free of charge. To do this, we are constantly developing new areas of medical care and looking for the best solutions for our patients. And that is why we are delighted to announce (Not) Up For Beauty project – a project where we take care of dozens of women who have been injured. This is comprehensive care that combines aesthetic medicine and plastic surgery in combination with modern cosmetology hardware procedures. A special value will be the psychological help each woman will receive,” says Iryna Zaslavets, head of the UNBROKEN project development director of the First Medical Association of Lviv.
