AMERICAN CITIES CONSIDER TO JOIN UNBROKEN CITIES NETWORK

UNBROKEN’s foundation CEO Oleksandr Kobzarev, Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi, and his deputy Andriy Moskalenko visited the U.S. capital and participated in more than fifty meetings to discuss assistance to Ukraine and mention UNBROKEN. These topics were raised at panel discussions at the Winter Conference of Mayors during conversations with representatives of foundations and government organizations.

The Ukrainians also met with representatives of the Strong Cities Network (Executive Director Eric Rosand – ed.) and agreed to represent UNBROKEN and the UNBROKEN Cities Network among its members. They generally establish contact with people who influence decision-making in the United States.

Oleksandr Kobzarev, Executive Director of the UNBROKEN Charitable Foundation, said that the purpose of the trip was to introduce UNBROKEN and the UNBROKEN Cities Network to the mayors of the United States. Several of them joined the network.

“We must spread information about our ecosystem and look for useful contacts, advice, and resources. This is what city networks such as the UNBROKEN Cities Network do. We talked to those who want to help Ukraine, Lviv, and the rehabilitation area – city leaders who can potentially become our brothers and partners.”

Among these city leaders is the mayor of Washington, D.C., Muriel Bowser.

Mayors of European cities are so involved in helping UNBROKEN that they are the first to start talking about our ecosystem – among these activists is the mayor of Manchester, UK, Andy Burnham. He helped Andriy Sadovyi, Andriy Moskalenko, and Oleksandr Kobzarev promote our UNBROKEN Cities network.

“He is a true ambassador of Lviv and our UNBROKEN ecosystem. This is such a great and sincere support. And we are looking forward to welcoming our colleagues from the United States to Lviv soon,” summarized Sadovyi.

The officials also visited the leading U.S. military hospital, Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, and planned several educational programs with UNBROKEN and the First Medical Association of Lviv.

We thank our friend and partner, Dave Fortier, for organizing the meetings and making this trip possible!

We are UNBROKEN when we are together!
