UNBROKEN and the Ukrainian jewelry brand Kochut have unveiled “The Handshake” — a piece that symbolizes support, gratitude, and recovery.

This unique piece of jewelry captures a powerful gesture — the moment of connection between a biological and a bionic hand. It embodies respect for the strength of those who have endured war and for those who stand beside them on the path of healing.

The first piece was solemnly presented to the First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska.

It was gifted by Volodymyr Rudkovskyi, a veteran and mentor at the UNBROKEN National Rehabilitation Center:

“Mrs. Zelenska is the soft power of Ukraine. Her support for those affected by the war, her work with fellow First Ladies, and her initiatives to protect women and children — it’s dignity in action. This pin is our way of saying thank you.”

Orlando Bloom appeared live on BBC One Show wearing The Handshake — a gesture of solidarity with wounded Ukrainians and UNBROKEN patients.

As a world-renowned actor and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, his support for Ukraine carries weight — and the symbol on his jacket sent a clear message to the international community: the fight continues, and it’s about people.

During a recent visit of the band Okean Elzy to the UNBROKEN Center, we presented Sviatoslav Vakarchuk with a special bracelet by Kochut — designed as a handshake between a biological and bionic hand.

The idea was born in the Kochut workshop, known for its deep symbolism and craftsmanship.

“This piece wasn’t just made — it was lived through,” says Nazar Kochut, co-founder of the brand. “We were searching for a form that could hold pain, respect, and gratitude — and we found it in a gesture. It’s a deeply human symbol.”

The handshake is not just a design — it’s a symbol of mutual support, trust, recovery, and gratitude to those who have fought and continue fighting for life.
