The project “A joint initiative of The Dr. Jozef Psarski Mazovian Specialist Hospital in Ostroleka and First Lviv Territorial Medical Union in Lviv as increasing the availability of health care services” is being implemented under the Interreg NEXT Poland-Ukraine 2021-2027 program. This project aims to secure funding to purchase a modern angiography system for the First Lviv Territorial Medical Union, the largest medical institution in Ukraine. Patients from various parts of the country come here for specialized medical assistance. The equipment will significantly enhance the capabilities to provide patients with cardiological and cardiac surgical care.

An angiograph is a high-tech device that allows for angiography — an X-ray examination of blood vessels. This procedure helps to detect narrowing or blockage of blood vessels, aneurysms, and internal bleeding, as well as assess the spread of tumor processes. Angiography is especially important in cardiology, neurology, and vascular surgery, as it identifies the area of damage and the cause of the pathology.

The acquisition of the angiograph will significantly improve the quality of diagnostics and treatment at the First Lviv Territorial Medical Union. It will enable doctors to perform more precise diagnostic procedures and complex surgeries, providing more practical assistance to patients needing specialized medical intervention.
