The Unbroken Charitable Foundation is a charitable organization whose main goal is to raise funds for charitable and social projects to support the activities of the National Rehabilitation Center “Unbroken” within the First Medical Union of Lviv.

The National Rehabilitation Center “Unbroken” is a unique place where adults and children affected by the war receive comprehensive qualified medical care. These are emergency medical care, reconstructive surgery, orthopedics and robotic prosthetics. Victims are not only fitted with prostheses, they are manufactured here. In addition, the Center deals with physical, psychological and psychosocial rehabilitation of injured military personnel and civilians. All patients’care is provided free of charge.

The main task of the “Unbroken” foundation is to ensure that Ukrainians are treated at home in Ukraine and do not seek help abroad or in various medical institutions. For this, it is necessary to ensure the material and technical base, the equipment and the availability of state-of-the-art medical equipment within the walls of the hospital, where motivated medical personnel save the lives of victims around the clock. Also, one of the tasks is the professional development of doctors and nurses. That is why much attention is paid to the organization of educational programs, exchange of experience, internships and the arrival of colleagues from abroad.

The foundation’s mission is to create conditions for professional medical, rehabilitation, psychological help and comprehensive treatment of patients in Ukraine.

The foundation’s activities are based on accountability, transparency, responsibility and involvement of citizens from all over the world in order to achieve the main goal – access of every Ukrainian to modern medicine and the guarantee of receiving qualified care in their country.

The foundation’s activities are ensured by a team of professionals and active citizens of Ukraine.

Co-founders of the foundation: Serhii Kostiuchenko and Yehor Oliinyk.

Without fear, doubt or hesitation, Serhii and Yehor defended Ukraine from the first days of the full-scale war of russia against Ukraine. Serhii lost his arm in the war. Yehor lost a leg.

Military men were given prosthetics at the Unbroken National Rehabilitation Center.

Yehor and Serhii became co-founders of the Foundation, so that the wounded who suffered in the war would receive the best medical care and prostheses.

Nazar Bahniuk, head of prosthetics direction at the “Unbroken” Center, who fitted the boys with their prostheses;

Oleksandr Filonenko, Ukrainian philosopher and public intellectual.

The charity foundation “Unbroken” is headed by public activist and journalist Iryna Zaslavets.

Decisions at the Foundation are made basing on the needs of patients and doctors. Requests are made by the team of the “Unbroken” National Rehabilitation Center.
