UNBROKEN REHABILITATION HALL: A UNIQUE PLACE FOR THE RECOVERY OF UKRAINIANS WHO SUFFERED FROM THE WAR

The “Unbroken” Rehabilitation Hall is an available space for military and civilian rehabilitation. It has 7 floors and 4 thousand square meters for rehabilitation which should start working already in April. Every year, 10,000 Ukrainians will receive help there.

In comfortable conditions with the use of the most modern equipment and methods, people will return to the fullest possible life. Hundreds of specialists will fight for every new movement and sound of those affected by the war. These are both Ukrainians and the best rehabilitation specialists from Israel, Great Britain and the USA.

Specialists in physical rehabilitation will work side by side with psychologists and psychotherapists, because human recovery is a team effort. Each installation of a prosthesis will be accompanied by their support. Prosthetics is an integral part of the Unbroken Center.

The full cycle of care will additionally be provided by cooperation with surgeons, traumatologists and other specialists working in the team of our medical institution, as well as access to all the necessary diagnostic equipment.

The Unbroken National Rehabilitation Center was created on the basis of the largest medical institution of Ukraine – the First Medical Union of Lviv.

Both inpatients and outpatients will receive help in the Rehabilitation Corps – there are 54 beds for them on two floors.

For their maximum recovery, rehabilitation halls with ceiling lifts (Guldman), a swimming pool, an occupational therapy apartment with a kitchen, halls with suspension systems (Red Cord), and robotics rooms are being created.

Robotic rehabilitation tools, exoskeletons and walking simulators will be used in work with patients.

Our task is to help the patient achieve his goals. This is the basis of the approach to rehabilitation in the world. The minimum task of the rehabilitation team is to give the patient all the necessary tools so that he can return to life and be as independent as possible.

Opening of the Rehabilitation Corps – April 1.

In order to have time to transform the old building of the polyclinic into a new, modern “Unbroken” Rehabilitation Center, 200 construction workers are working around the clock.

We want to begin the rehabilitation of Ukrainians affected by the war as soon as possible and we need your help.

Project cost: UAH 165 million.

Currently, thanks to our partners and sponsors, we have UAH 50 million.

“Unbroken” is a project created in response to the challenges of war.

It is created to treat, rehabilitate and save Ukrainians in Ukraine.

We show that public medicine is humane, professional and comfortable. Unbroken is about the opportunity to provide Ukrainians with the best care and treatment, to unite the world’s top doctors and medical facilities, to create decent conditions and opportunities in our state.

* Visualization of the building: the Ukrainian architectural and engineering company abmk is working on the project, which also implements a social project of temporary housing for internally displaced persons in Sambir, Lviv region.
