«ART & RESILIENCE»: UNBROKEN FORUM 2026
On November 5–6, 2026, Lviv will host the UNBROKEN FORUM 2026.
The event will bring together veterans, rehabilitation specialists, medical professionals, psychologists, as well as Ukrainian and international artists.
The main focus of this year's program is Art & Resilience. The center of attention is the role of cultural and creative practices in the comprehensive human recovery after severe injuries of war, addressing the invisible consequences of combat experience, and society's readiness to correctly perceive the experiences of those returning from the front.
Returning to civilian life requires a prolonged restoration of contact with one's body, thoughts, and emotions. When words are lacking to express traumatic experiences, the tools of art—music, bodily practices, text, color, and plastic materials—become a safe way to give form to the unsaid.
Creativity is viewed not as decorative leisure, but as an effective therapeutic method that helps restore internal agency, find new supports, and shape personal identity beyond the framework of military experience alone.
The forum program includes:
- Professional panel discussions: Discussions on the interaction of rehabilitation medicine, psychotherapy, and artistic methods with the participation of specialized experts and military personnel;
- Exhibition component: Exhibitions of works created by veterans during the rehabilitation process, as well as documentary visual projects;
- Tour block: Where you will see how a barrier-free environment is being created, combining innovative medical care with comprehensive psychological support.
The forum aims to build a common space of interaction between the healthcare system, culture, and the veteran community to create a sustainable support model for military personnel and civilians.
