OPPORTUNITIES: TRAINING, REQUALIFICATION, EMPLOYMENT
The Unbroken Foundation, with the support of its partners, the Veteran Media NGO and the Lviv City Council Personnel Management Office, organised a series of training events for veterans, military personnel and their families entitled ‘Opportunities: training, requalification, employment’.
They are designed to facilitate effective dialogue between different parts of society: people who offer new opportunities for development and those who are searching for themselves after the experience of war. Our desire is to help veterans find their place in peaceful life and adapt to new realities. With this project, we want to bring together businesses, government agencies, and educational institutions that are ready to support veterans in finding work and developing new skills.
In addition, this is a great opportunity for participants to discuss the legal aspects of employment, learn about retraining programmes, and get advice on writing CVs, preparing for interviews, and effective job searching.
One of the important topics raised by the participants of the event was entrepreneurship. Pavlo Dyokin, founder of the Kruk sports club, spoke about his own experience of setting up a business with state support.
The second event brought together representatives of leading companies, who shared their experiences and talked about current vacancies, training programmes and adaptation courses for veterans. The speakers were HR specialists from companies such as the KVITKA group of companies, the WOG petrol station chain, TM Ekotest, and Meest Poshta. They shared their experience in supporting veterans and talked about how they create opportunities for adaptation and career growth.
The third meeting focused on opportunities and prospects for veterans who want to start their own business in the agricultural sector. The event was attended by representatives of MHP-Zakhid-Agro, the MHP-Hromadi Charitable Foundation, the Lviv City Council, and the Perepilka na Dubovom Listy Centre for Entrepreneurship and Veteran Business Support.
This project is not just about employment or training. It is about a community where people support each other, share knowledge, and help each other take the first steps towards a new life.
